We offer a client portal where payments are processed easily. After you speak with a Scoop The Poconos representative, we will create an account for you and send your login information to your email. The sign-up process is quick and takes less than two minutes.
In your portal, you can access copies of all paid invoices, records of past and scheduled services, and securely link your credit/debit card. Once your card is linked, we’ll generate and pay invoices on your behalf, sending you receipts for your records.
Important Note:
Your card must be linked to your account before our technician arrives at your home. If your card isn’t connected by that time, we will try to contact you and knock on your door. If we can’t reach you, we’ll need to reschedule your cleanup for the next available date, which could be several weeks depending on the season. If you need assistance linking your card, our team is always available to help you over the phone.
Yes, billing occurs on the 1st of each month before services are rendered. Payments for initial or one-time cleanups are due upon completion of the job.
Note:
If you choose to continue with weekly services after an initial cleanup, you will be billed for that cleanup along with the remaining services for the month on the same day.
Next payment is due on the 1st of the following month.
Example:
If John Doe signs up for weekly services starting with an initial cleanup on 3/15/2022, at a rate of $80 per month for cleanups every Tuesday:
The cost for the initial cleanup is $100.
On the first cleanup (3/15/2022), John will be billed for the initial cleanup and the remainder of the month’s cleanups.
Charges on 3/15/2022:
Initial Cleanup: $100
Remaining March Cleanups (3/22 and 3/29): $40
Total Charged on 3/15/2022: $140
Subsequent Payments:
4/1: $80 (Recurring Cleanups)
5/1: $80 (Recurring Cleanups)
6/1: $80 (Recurring Cleanups)
If payment is not received before your first cleanup of the month, you will be removed from the service schedule until payment is processed.
Additionally, when you first link a debit or credit card to your online portal, a test transaction of $1.50 may occur. This is just a standard protocol for the software we use, and no actual funds will be withdrawn from your account.
Regarding scheduling, we can’t provide an exact time for your scoop day. Similar to garbage collection services, we operate on a designated service day, which helps us keep our rates affordable for you. Our routes run from around 7:30 a.m. until dark.
Communication is key, and you will always receive a text notification when we’re on our way, typically about 60 minutes in advance. If you’re at the start of our route, you might receive a text 15-30 minutes prior to our arrival. We want to be considerate and not disturb you too early in the morning.
Your scoop day will remain consistent each week, and if there are any changes to your service day, we will inform you in advance.
No, you do not have to be home when we clean. We simply ask for easy access to your gate.
Quotes in most cases are accurate, however no pricing is final until the yard is fully inspected on the first visit. We will communicate with you if there is any price change before starting services.
Customers that choose to pause services for any reason will be subject to initial cleaning fees before being added onto monthly service.
Payments for initial or one time cleanups are due upon completion of the job.
If you move forward with monthly service after an initial cleanup you will be billed for the remainder of the month on your second cleanup.
Payments for reoccurring services are due on the first day of each month prior to receiving services.
If payments are late you will be subject to a $10 late fee.
If payment is not received before the first cleaning of the month you will be removed from the service schedule.
The monthly fee is based on a 52 week calendar and averaged out over 12 months. For months with 5 weeks instead of 4 you will not be charged for the extra visit as it is built into the monthly pricing.

Scoop The Poconos operates 12 months a year and will always show up when weather conditions are safe regardless of rain, snow, or other unfavorable weather conditions.
If we are unable to provide service one week due to unsafe conditions we will perform double duty the following week and you will still be charged for the full month. This is because there is just as much pet waste and time spent on each yard.
Clients who maintain their subscription throughout the winter will not be charged for a spring cleanup when all of the snow melts and will continue on with their subscription plan with locked in rates.
If Scoop The Poconos is unable to gain access to your yard because the gate has been locked you will still be charged for the cleaning, however, Scoop The Poconos will pull double duty the following week.
Your Scoop Technician will knock at the door and make attempts to call you before skipping your yard that day. You will be notified via the customer portal as well.
Yes! Safety is the top priority here at Scoop The Poconos. We disinfect all of our shoes and equipment with a kennel-grade disinfectant to prevent the spread of germs.
We do not take the waste away with us. Upon completion of the cleanup, we will place the waste in your trash receptacle. If your trash bin is not outside, we will double/triple bag the waste to make it presentable and place it next to your gate.

Dogs do their business year-round, and so do we! No matter the weather, we’re dedicated to keeping your yard clean to the best of our ability.
In the rare instance that we can’t scoop due to weather conditions, we’ll make sure to pull “double duty” during our next visit to catch up on any missed work.
In most cases, yes! Our team at Scoop The Poconos is made up of animal lovers, which is why many of us are passionate about this work. However, there may be situations where aggressive dogs could pose a safety risk for our staff. In those cases, we may ask you to secure your dog in a safe area before we can proceed with the cleanup.
Your yard must be easily accessible
Lawns should be cut on a regular basis without large amounts of leaves or debris. Autumn in the scooping industry is known as “poop camouflage season.” Please be mindful that we can only pick up what we can see.
Gates should be free of snow & Ice and unlocked when we arrive. If you provide us with gate codes we will always lock up once we are done.
Aggressive dogs must be left indoors on scheduled service days.
If you know you will not need services please give us at least 48 hours notice.

Scoop The Poconos has no contracts and customers can cancel services at any time for any reason with 48 hour notice. Customers can call in to cancel, or update their subscription plan through the customer portal.
Customers that pause services for certain times of the year will be subject to initial cleanup fees, or spring cleanup fees when they return to their monthly subscription.
If a customer cancels services half way through the month they will be refunded for services that have occurred. The refund will be processed to the payment method on file in the customer portal.
Scoop The Poconos loves working with dogs! Our technicians have no issue working with your dog in the yard.
If it is evident that your dog is aggressive, or will not let us clean the yard we will make attempts to contact you by knocking on the door, calling, and updating your online portal. If we are unable to clean due to a dangerous dog you will still be charged for the visit and Scoop The Poconos will pull double duty the following week.
